Co-Exective Chef, Bruce Horowitz, of Sun Kitchen
We're happy to have Bruce involved in helping coordinate our healthy meals for this retreat. Bruce's credentials are endless including his being the Executive Chef for the Raw Spirit Fest in Sedona, 2007. Many have referred to that event as the largest Raw Food Gathering in the world to date.
Bruce will coordinate our overall menu, ingredients list and help oversee kitchen staf with our other co-exective chef.
Bruce’s Raw Story:
In 1998, Bruce walked into RAW, Juliano’s one-of-a-kind live-food restaurant in San Francisco. Sensing his destiny, Bruce volunteered every day for a month, and finally got his big break when the dishwasher didn’t show up one night. Six months later, he had worked his way up to head chef! After the restaurant closed its doors in July 2000, Bruce took his knives over to O2, an oxygen and elixir bar, whose opening he had catered earlier that year. Later that summer, the managers of Michael Franti’s band, Spearhead, called asking if Bruce wanted to vend raw food in the park at their protest concert, Power to the Peaceful. Huge lines of people devouring nori wraps as fast as he could roll them inspired Bruce to take his show on the road! Thus ensued five summers of feeding festival-goers at west coast festivals out of his booth, the Sun Kitchen.
Co-Exective Chef, Chris Iverson
Christopher is going to oversee the design & selection of meals, getting healthy orgnaic produce, managing kitchen volunteers & serving from the ground up. He'll be working & collaborating with Bruce on ingrediants & quality control and will probably spend more time in the kitchen than anyone at this gathering. We're grateful for all his high quality & wonderful contributions to this event.
Christopher Iverson's Bio:
Christopher has been a vegetarian / vegan / living foods chef for over a decade. In 2003, Christopher set up his worldwide consultation company called Raw Temple. Raw Temple does consulting and advising with living foods and the consciousness that comes with it. During the last few years he has conducted several workshops and has designed and conducted chef certification training programs in places such as Amsterdam, Vancouver B.C. and Maui. In the spring of 2004 Christopher helped to open Vancouver, Canadas first 100% live food restaurant called the Living Source Café.

Len Watson (Lenny) is going to particpate in our kitcen in the area of Raw Food Prep. He's committed to contribute a side dish or two and will collaborate on some level with our other two co-exec. chefs. Lenny is also teaching a workshop on cleansing & healing with Raw Foods that you can see in the Workshops area.
Len Watson's Bio:
Len Watson iives on Maui, HI and is a Nutritionist, Colon Therapist and
Ashtanga Yogi. He specializes in helping people detoxify thru Cleansing
and Fasting Programs and Retreats. He has been practicing the Raw Food
Lifestyle for 30 years. Len’s ability to communicate complex
nutritional ideas in clear and meaningful ways insures that others
catch the excitement of living their Highest Potential. Len’s Cleansing
Programs are designed to heal the digestive, assimilative and
eliminative functions of the body.
Len has found that Periodic Cleansing and Fasting help us stay in right
Relationship to our food. Len has helped thousands of people cleanse,
detoxify and regain their Youth and Vitality. Len has served as
Co-Director of a Biological Medical Clinic and worked at an Alternative
Cancer Clinic among his many Healing Life experiences. He has been
Licensed as a Nutritionist, Massage Therapist and Colon Therapist since
1979. For the past 18 years Len has been living in Maui Hawaii where he
guides clients in Rejuvenation and Youthing.
