Chris Berry with Michael Kang are central members of Panjea. They will play an acoustic oriented set that will insire & uplift our spirits and move our bodies.

Michael Kang is a multi-instrumentalist for the popular jam band the String Cheese Incident recently joined Chris Berry's band Panjea full time. The mandolin is his primary instrument, although he plays violin on several songs, and guitar rarely. He is a key part of the band, providing both a melodic and rhythmic sound. Panjea was given the unique opportunity to open for the String Cheese Incident in the Fall of 2005, combining an incredible family of musicians, leading to Michael Kang joining forces with the project in May of 2006 for a month long tour. This was soon followed by a series of festivals including High Sierra, Wakarusa, among many others, also including Kang. Now, Kang has committed to be an integral part of the band, completing the sound that is Panjea. (more..)

Chris Berry is a master of both mbira (thumb piano) and the ngoma drum, from the Shona people of Southern Africa. He has earned the title of gwenyambira ("one whose music calls the spirits"), a distinction reserved only for those who have achieved the highest fusion of the technical and the magical in Shona music. His record sales have reached platinum sales in Zimbabwe and Mozmbique with the band Panjea. (more..)

Known to his fans as Wisdom, Tevya Jones was born into a family of musicians and poets in Colorado in 1972. He was first exposed to hip hop culture at the Ernest Ingold Boys Club in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco, after moving there with his mother at age 6. Wisdom found refuge in writing and performing his first songs at an early age. Rooted in life experience, his diverse style incorporates lyrics that are streetwise with a political edge. He explains: “world issues and human suffering were common topics of discussion in our household, as well as exposure to many types of music and cultures. Singer, guitarist, poet, songwriter. Moving from
Fairyland, Georgia to New York at seventeen, she began her musical life as a vocalist and lyricist for many different bands, including the jazz/hip-hop of Kingstone, the heavy metal of Ten Ton and she was the first lead singer for Elliot Sharp's improv/blues band, Terraplane. Most recently in NYC, she fronted her own rock group, Lotus33 and was a founding member of the psychedelic band, Starchild. Performing all over the U.S. and Europe, releasing two full band albums and two solo albums. Over the years, her musical collaborations
include singing with Lysa Flores, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Claudius King, Henry Gutierrez and Freedom. On a miraculous day in London, Mollie sang a duet with Reverend Al Green at the Royal Festival Hall and ended up on tour with a circus-punk band called the Thunderdogs. She has performed at SXSW, ACL after parties, Riverbend Festival, Sundance Film Festival and a party for the Grammy's in Times Square. For the last decade, Mollie orchestrated the music and performed in the fantasy fashion shows of designer Elisa Jimenez and the Hungerworld for NYC and L.A. fashion weeks. Outside of NYC, Mollie has also lived in Austin, Seattle and Los Angeles. She is very excited to be returning to Maui and will be playing her solo songbird set of soulful, inspirational and powerful Love songs.

"Satchi Om has been producing and performing live electronic music since early 1994 in the South Florida music culture. He started as a Ritual Instrumental performance group Called "KIN AHAU "and it was through this mystical music that he was pulled into the electronic music experience. Satchi performed as V.O.R.T.E.X. Experience, EYE AWAKEN and DJ BURNER during the early part of his career and later after experiencing the BURNING MAN Culture changed his name to SATCHI OM.

Experimenting with drum machine and computers synth and accustom instruments SATCHI OM has developed a unique sound and experience for the future dance floor of NOW..

Intergrating live aspect of music and performance has always been the intention. Live digeridoes ,african precusion with dj skills broken beats and dancers beat boxers and instrumentalist were some of the begining incarnations of his music.

Prepare to have your third eye blown wide open by DJ Story's intuitive beats. Even before he was born in a thatched roof cottage on the beach of Negril, Jamaica (1985), DJ Story was dancing to roots reggae basslines, and has always had a keen ear for rhythm and pitch.

He grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and spent 4 years training in traditional Zimbabwean music with Peter Swing, Chris Berry, Stephen Golovnin and many others. This wizard's atmospheric funk has been emerging within the electronic music scene since 1998 when he started getting into beat-matching, writing, and recording his own music. Soon he was DJing at indoor/outdoor parties in New Mexico, San Francisco, Black Rock City (Burning Man), and full moon gatherings on Kauai and Maui.

He went to a 10 day silent Vipassana meditation retreat on Kauai and has never been the same since. He brings a certain shamanic energy with him onto the dance-floor during each deep tribal progressive trance set he plays. Story has recorded and produced tracks with such artists as, Sasha (butterfly) Rose, The Human Revolution, DJ Profeta, Malcolm Dorje, Sirus B, Anecha, Victroria Bulostin, Sam David & Amber Leiv, Alicia Lyons, Love (Tracy Erchul), Jonathan Arthur, and many others. As well as being part of the famous Maui underground scene for years, Plush became well known on the island for hosting the longest running party in Maui's history, the Wednesday Night Potluck.

Recently he has performed with Jennifer Johns in Maui, and, in 2007 performed at the Shambala Music Festival. His music is always delightfully different and keeps dancefloors beaming as he plays his acid ghetto funk. (more..)
