Visioinary Art at Mystic Garden Party
Most often at festival events music is the only form of the arts being honored & showcased. Music of course is a powerful way to uplift the human spirit and connect with our more Divine nature. However, in the vision of Mystic Garden we see and recognize that inspiration to uplift our spirits and catalyze the opening of our hearts & minds comes in many forms including Visual Arts!
In our Visionary Arts Village not only will you find an area where you can meet many inspired artists and be able to buy their art to take that inspiration home with you, but, we're also featuring a Transformational Arts Temple where you can experience some of our artists' featured pieces in a powerful way that will be on par with an inspired musical sharing. There will also be visuals and sometimes music played in the dome where our temple will be created.
Alex Grey will be joining us in Maui along with other amazing artists!

Liquid Fire Mantra
|
Liquid Fire Mantra is a fusion of dance, theatre, and circus. Forest Schrodt founded the company in 1997 in Ashland Oregon. LFM has performed world wide at major music events, festivals, weddings, private events and LFM productions.
The 15 to 45-minute shows integrate many different art forms, creating a multi-dimensional performance. The primary tools are fire and mask dancing, supported by choreography, video projection and a custom-made music score. Shows are also created without fire props,
such as swords, LED lights, fans and dancing wings. Traveling to Bali Indonesia, LFM has studied Balinese dance and is greatly influenced by the Balinese ritual theatre.

Yurik Riegel
|
Yurik grew up in Half Moon Bay, California. He graduated from San Jose State with a degree in illustration and then studied at The Art Students League of NYC. His medium of choice continues to be oil painting on linen canvas because of it's archival quality. In 2001 , he was hired by his childhood inspiration, the George Lucas companies, and spent 3 years working on video games as a Computer 3D artist working on Star Wars video games.
It was during this time that Yurik was introduced by a friend to the world of transformation, meditation, rave culture, and San Francisco urban tribalism. Yurik dove in with a passion. Over the years since it has infuenced his art greatly.
Yurik’s Art imagery speaks of the teachings from Werner Erhard, Vic Boranko, David Deada, Tony Robbins, Alan Watts, Ekhart Tolle, the Buddha, and many others. It also speaks to the growing trend in the world of urban tribalism, spirituality, technolization, and global connection. His oil paintings of surreal and technologically enhanced creatures creating the world they live in, struggling with their attachments to material experience, and merging in spiritual connection with one another - evoke a sense of wonder and possibility. They are an up-to-the minute reflection of modern man’s struggle to know himself in the Age of Information and Globalization.
Today, Yurik Riegel is a Fine Artist, Personal Coach, and Author living in the San Francisco Bay Area. |

| El Flyer |
The life of Christopher Teddy Dyer Bailey (aka "el flyer") started when a sperm turned into a fetus in Lima, Peru. Just before he was forced out of his mom's comfy womb, he was taken to Ottawa, Canada to be born with 1st world country privileges. He then returned to Peru with his family at the age of 3, causing his first culture shock/life trauma. Chris was always different no matter where he went and preferred to draw and construct junk robots, to playing soccer with his companions (who made fun of him for being so "weird").
Chris eventually learned the "survival of the fittest" ways to be accepted in his violent and poor, yet fun and heart-full society. This crazy environment shaped most of his personality in those hard teenage years. It was during this era when he engaged in extreme activities such as 80's skateboarding to surfing; hardcore partying with the Lima elite (which he knew though his private boy's school), to "rock fighting" with his ghetto street gang SEPULCRO in the riot-full soccer stadium scene. yet no matter what he was into, the need for creative outlets was never something he could avoid. Her childhood was scattered across Canada as her family gradually made their way west. It was enriching to see the country in such variety and detail. Her father settled in the small town of Field in the Yoho valley of the Rocky Mountains, and Columbia Lake. Her mother and stepfather built their home between Powell River and Lund on the Sunshine coast. Spending her seasons between the majesty of the mountains and the serenity of the ocean and lush forest, Skye developed a deep appreciation for beauty.
As soon as she was old enough to hold a pencil, she would spend countless hours playing with colours and figures. Since her childhood stick men she has been drawn to the human form, and to this day she strives to capture its life and essence.

| Jamie Erfurdt |
At seven years old I knew I wanted to be an artist; and sold my first drawing at ten. I began painting with oils after receiving a set from a good friend on my 12th birthday. At age 13 I won an award from the Denver Public Schools.
I also wanted to be a mermaid when I grew up. Some of you may know me as Jamie the Mermaid. I took classes at University of Colorado Denver Center and San Francisco Art Institute, then received Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from University of San Francisco, Magna Cum Laude, and with distinction from the Academy of Art College. My MFA is from the SF Art Institute.
